Sensei Mark A. Hadiarja, who holds the 5th Dan title, is one of the students of Shihan Joe Thambu (Dan 8 Aikido) who has been given the opportunity to open the first Yoshinkan dojo in Indonesia, with a direct recommendation from Shihan Joe Thambu as head instructor. Aikido Shudokan Australia, and received direct blessing from Kancho Kyoichi Inoue (Dan 10 Aikido, Grandmaster Yoshinkan Aikido 2001-2004).

The dojo is called "Aikido Shudokan Indonesia" and until now Aikido Shudokan Indonesia is the only dojo that uses the Yoshinkan system in Indonesia.

Sensei Mark A. Hadiarja first studied Aikido in Melbourne, Australia, under the direct supervision of Shihan Joe Thambu while studying at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. Apart from being in Australia, Sensei Mark had the opportunity to take part in training at the Hombu Dojo (Central Dojo) in Tokyo, Japan and still regularly visits Japan and Australia and attends other international workshops as a participant or teacher.

In September 2005, he was honored to be able to take part in the 50th Anniversary of All Japan Yoshinkan Aikido Demonstration as the only participant from Indonesia and performed in front of approximately 7000 people in Tokyo, Japan.

Sensei Mark A. Hadiarja has had the opportunity to train with qualified and international instructors, such as Ken Sensei (Dan 5 Yoshinkan Aikido, England), Joe Thambu Shihan (Dan 7 Yoshinkan Aikido, Australia), Master Thamby Rajah (Dan 8 Yoshinkan Aikido and is the pioneer of Aikido and Judo in Malaysia), Takeno Sensei (Dan 8 Yoshinkan Aikido), Chida Sensei (Dan 8 Yoshinkan Aikido) and Kancho Kyoichi Inoue Sensei (Grandmaster of Yoshinkan Aikido-Dan 10). Apart from Aikido, Sensei Mark A. Hadiarja has practiced other martial arts, such as Arnis (Phillpino stick and knife fighting), Chinese Kick Boxing, Brazilian Jujitsu, and Boxing.

With diverse experiences, Sensei Mark A. Hadiarja can share experiences in various self-defense programs, such as women's self-defense, security, youth self-defense, and so on.
